Soft Tissue Release: is a specific neuromuscular therapy that addressees muscular imbalances, which can lead to overuse injuries, (i.e. tendinitis, shin splints, nerve impingement.) Originally developed to treat some of the world’s fastest Olympic sprinters, STR is a method of applying pressure to a muscle at the same time the muscle is being stretched, accelerating the healing of muscular injuries by breaking up scar tissue, differentiating muscle groups, flooding areas with much needed blood and oxygen, with the result of quickly eliminating chronic pain.
Cold Laser Therapy: Laser therapy is a non-thermal laser capable of penetrating deep into tissue. Once delivered, the light energy promotes the process of photobiostimulation. In human tissue the resulting photochemical reaction produces an increase in the cellular metabolism rate that expedites cell repair and the stimulation of the immune, lymphatic and vascular systems. The net result, observed in clinical trials to date, is the apparent reduction in pain, inflammation, edema and overall reduction in healing time.
Rolfing: is a form of structural therapy designed by
Dr. Ida Rolf. This form of therapy helps people overcome the negative effects of pain, injury, and structural imbalance by incorporating deep tissue work with balance, posture and functional movement training. The benefits of Rolfing / Structural therapy work will help - sports injuries - overuse injuries - occupational issues from to much driving, sitting, repetitive movement, etc.
A Rolfing 10 series: (sessions 1-3 for the superficial work, then 4-10 for deep postural work) allows access to different layers of the body and the ability to re-establish the most appropriate length and resilience in your connective tissue, (muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc.) (More about a Rolfing 10 series)
